Clearly define & configure “existing customer”
Sara Meert
At the moment, it is unclear when a customer is valued as an “existing customer”.
An “existing customer” = has already booked and has a checkout history.
But in many cases: only a customer file = “existing customer”.
When moving from old software to Optios, salons often have existing customers who have not yet had checkout transactions, or only a profile, and are treated as “new customers” with all the associated limitations—e.g. when booking online.
This leads to frustration, duplication of work and unintended restrictions for customers.

existing customers = customers in your customer base = they can book online
Claudia Nelen
Only customers who have ever booked online can book an appointment online. Approved customers, who we put into our system with all the data, cannot book online themselves, that is SO illogical. And for all these customers, we now always have to book appointments ourselves, very annoying. That's why the logic -> EXISTING CUSTOMERS = CUSTOMERS IN YOUR CUSTOMER BASE. (this question has been around since 2023!)

It would be nice if, as a salon, when you create a customer poster, you immediately give the customer permission to book online. Not that there must have been an appointment in the salon first. Even if someone hasn't been six months, I would make it 1 year

Ursela Raaijmakers Indeed, we've been asking about this for years. It's so illogical that the customers in your customer base can't book. But only people who have booked before!
